Your Risk Deserves a Strategist, Not Just a Policy.

4J Insurance Brokerage audits your actual exposure, closes the gaps your current broker missed, and designs programs built around your operational reality — not last year's renewal.

Veteran-Owned · Independent Brokerage · Serving Texas & Oklahoma · Radical Client Advocacy · Frisco, TX

Our Mission

Protect the companies that build Texas.

How? By asking harder questions up front, explaining what your policy actually says, and never rubber-stamping a renewal.

4J Insurance exists because Deon R. Williams spent his career on the other side of the claim — first as a claims adjuster, then as an SIU investigator, then as a Farmers agency owner. He watched coverage gaps surface only after the loss, when it was too late to fix them. 4J was founded so Texas and Oklahoma businesses get clear, straight answers about their coverage before they sign.

Start with the exposure, not the policy name.

The right program depends on where the loss can occur, what the contract requires, and which policy is expected to answer.

  • General Liability
Contracts often turn on limits, additional insured status, and policy wording that is easy to misread.
  • Workers' Compensation
Class codes, payroll, and experience modification can materially change what you pay.
  • Commercial Auto & Fleet
Owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles create different coverage questions inside the same fleet program.
  • Cyber Liability
Social engineering losses can turn on an endorsement that may be excluded from the base policy.
  • Surety Bonds
Bonding capacity depends on financial strength, experience, and the obligation behind the bid.

Your industry changes the risk.

The same coverage behaves differently when contracts, assets, employees, and operations change.

  • Manufacturing
Products, equipment, supply chains, and operational technology shape the insurance program.
  • Construction & Contractors
Contracts, workers' compensation, auto, additional insured requirements, and bonding meet on the same job.
  • Property Management
Managing property for others adds contractual and association exposures to the insurance program.
  • Professional Services
Client contracts, professional liability, cyber, and management liability can outweigh premises risk.

Benefits decisions should start with the workforce and the numbers.

Plan design, funding, compliance, and contribution strategy should be evaluated together, not one renewal line at a time.

  • Group Health Insurance
Compare fully insured, level-funded, and self-funded options against workforce needs, cash flow, and risk tolerance.
  • ACA Compliance
Work through ALE status, affordability, safe harbors, and reporting before the renewal forces the issue.
  • Funding Strategy
See how funding structure changes claims risk, cash flow, data access, and stop-loss considerations.

Is 4J an insurance broker or a captive agent?

4J is an independent commercial insurance brokerage. We hold direct carrier appointments plus wholesale and E&S market access, so your risk is shopped across the market rather than fit to one carrier's shelf.

What does a 4J coverage-gap audit include?

We assess your actual operational exposures, compare them line-by-line against your current policies' limits, deductibles, exclusions, and endorsements, and identify the gaps that would surface at claim time — before you sign.

Does 4J write coverage in Oklahoma as well as Texas?

Yes. 4J is licensed in both states (TX Agency License #2911773, OK Agency License #3003920647) and treats Texas and Oklahoma as home markets.

What is social-engineering or funds-transfer fraud coverage?

It is a cyber/crime endorsement that covers losses when an employee is tricked into wiring funds to a fraudster. It is frequently excluded from base policies; verifying it in advance is what let one 4J client recover a full fraudulent wire in seven days.

How is a commercial insurance broker different from a captive agent or buying direct?

A captive agent or direct writer offers one company's products. As an independent broker, 4J represents you, not a carrier — we compare coverage language, limits, and pricing across multiple markets and advise on the tradeoffs.

What group health funding options can 4J help a Texas employer evaluate?

We help employers compare fully insured, level-funded, and alternative funding approaches alongside ACA compliance and cost-control strategy — including an ACA compliance check — so the plan fits the workforce and the budget.

What is the difference between general liability and professional liability?

General liability covers third-party bodily injury and property damage arising from your operations; professional liability (E&O) covers claims that your professional advice or service caused a financial loss. Many businesses need both.
